“Pros and Cons of Open Source ESBs and “SOA Acquisition Patterns”

NEWBURYPORT, MA – (March 16, 2009) – AgilePath Corporation, the industry’s
leading service-oriented architecture (SOA) consulting firm, today announced two new
Webinars for the March and April schedule, and two new SOA training courses to be
offered in Spring 2009. The two Webinars are entitled The Pros and Cons of Open
Source ESBs, and SOA Acquisition Patterns. The training courses to be offered are
Fundamentals of SOA Governance, and SOA Acquisition Patterns.

AgilePath’s new Webinars are direct responses to market demand, and reflect growing
industry interest in open source solutions for SOA capabilities such as enterprise service
buses and related SOA enablement technologies. The Pros and Cons of Open Source
ESBs Webinar will explore various functional requirements for ESB technology, and
explore how various open source tools can satisfy those functional requirements.

The second Webinar, SOA Acquisition Patterns, will explore some cutting edge
perspectives on how acquisition processes and funding models must be adapted to the
acquisition of SOA-enabled capabilities and services. This topic is critical in the Federal
Government sector, and equally applies to Commercial organizations as well.

In addition, AgilePath will offer two new SOA training courses beginning in Spring
2009: Fundamentals of SOA Governance, and SOA Acquisition Patterns. The
Fundamentals of SOA Governance class will be a three-day course focused on business
and IT executives, IT and engineering management, program managers, architects and
developers who play a role in SOA governance. The SOA Acquisition Patterns class is
planned as a two-day course targeting Federal Government acquisition executives,
program managers, contracting professionals, and the acquisition community in general.
This cutting edge course will explain how acquiring SOA-enabled capabilities requires
new approaches to Federal acquisition processes.

“AgilePath is excited to offer our new SOA training courses to the industry,” stated
AgilePath CEO Eric A. Marks. “SOA Governance is the single most critical requirement
for SOA success, and this class will reflect our industry-leading knowledge of this topic.
The SOA Acquisition class is the first of its kind in the industry, and AgilePath looks
forward to sharing SOA acquisition insights during this two-day seminar.”

Both courses will be offered in the Washington DC area initially, with a broader roll out
to other major metropolitan areas to follow. In addition, AgilePath will begin offering a
SOA Governance certification in Fall 2009, which will consist of three SOA Governance
courses with exams to ensure competence in key dimensions of SOA Governance.
