SOA/Cloud System Consultant

AgilePath is an industry-leading consulting firm in both Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Cloud Computing. We currently have openings for SOA/Cloud System Consultants to complement a highly-skilled and knowledgeable group of SOA experts.

The SOA/Cloud System Consultant is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing requirements into service-based solutions. The SOA/Cloud System Consultant will work within various architectural environments, including client/ server and n-tier architectures, and modify/provide guidance on those systems to accommodate a service-based approach. The SOA/Cloud System Consultant will also be responsible for identifying SOA/Cloud Computing-based functional and non-functional system requirements such as security, transactional integrity, reliability, availability, and agility within the full development life cycle. Solid communication skills are required to provide clients with clear and concise architectural documentation and guidance. This individual will work with a client's IT organization to facilitate organizational commitment for all systems and software plans, as well as evaluate and select all technologies required to complete those plans. In addition, the SOA/Cloud System Consultant provides technical leadership in a consultative capacity across the client organization, from strategic decision making down to the project planning level.

Requirements:
  • Must be well versed in enterprise architectures
  • Full-cycle implementation experience including requirements, design, implementation, integration and testing.
  • Experience designing and implementing n-tiered application architecture.
  • Fluency in Web service standards, technologies and tools including XML, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, BPEL.
  • Familiarity with messaging systems including, Sonic, WebMethods, and Java CAPS.
  • Familiarity with cloud implementations such as VMware, Amazon EC2, Eucalyptus, Windows Azure, CloudStack, CloudForms, OpenShift
  • Program Management Experience
  • IT Lifecycle Experience
  • Ability to present professionally and persuasively to C-level executives
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) systems

SOA Software Architect

The (SOA) architect is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing SOA requirements into service-based solutions. The SOA architect will work within various architectural environments, including client/server and n-tier architectures, and modify those systems to accommodate a service-based approach. The SOA architect will also be responsible for identifying SOA-based non-functional system requirements such as security, transactional integrity, reliability, availability, and agility. Solid communication skills are required to provide clients with clear and concise architectural documentation and guidance. This individual will work with a client's IT organization to facilitate organizational commitment for all systems and software plans, as well as evaluate and select all technologies required to complete those plans. Requirements:
  • Must be well versed in enterprise architecture, SOA, J2EE, Spring Framework and/or .Net.
  • Well versed in DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF); Previous Air Force related work is a major plus.
  • Full-cycle implementation experience including requirements, design, implementation, integration and testing.
  • Experience designing and implementing n-tiered application architecture.
  • Fluency in Web service standards, technologies and tools including XML, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, BPEL.
  • Strong distributed computing background is required.
  • Familiarity with messaging systems including, Sonic, WebMethods, and JavaCaps
  • Knowledge of commercial Web service product providers including Systinet, Blue Titan, LogicLibrary as well as others.
  • Ability to present professionally and persuasively to C-level executives

SOA Strategist

Description: The SOA Strategist is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing, a client’s Service-Oriented Architecture. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of SOA concepts, best practices and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typical candidate will have Big Four strategic consulting experience with strong communication skills.

Requirements: Must exhibit skills to accomplish the following:
  • Assisting the client organization through collaboration with senior stakeholders including CEO, CTO, CIO and COO in identifying a strategy to enable the enterprise to migrate towards a mature SOA. The SOA maturity model typically employed enables an organization to evolve to SOA – i.e. from initial services, to architected services, to business services, to measured business services and finally to optimized business services.
  • Analyzing the ‘layout’ of the enterprise in order to recommend the most appropriate Enterprise SOA Governance Framework Model.
  • Identifying and documenting the standards, policies and processes required to sustain a robust SOA.
  • Educating Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, and Architects on the techniques used to identify and implement services such that the resulting designed services maximize business value.

Education: Masters degree or higher in Business, Computer Science, Organizational Behavior, Change Management or other Behavioral Science preferred Experience: 15+ years

 

Security Architect

The (Security) architect is responsible for analyzing and designing requirements and ensuring that security is built into service-based solutions. The Security architect will work within various architectural environments, including client/ server and n-tier architectures, and modify those systems to accommodate a service-based approach. The Security Architect will also be responsible for identifying non-functional system requirements such as security, transactional integrity, reliability, availability, and agility. They will be responsible for supporting the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes within the Federal Government. Solid communication skills are required to provide clients with clear and concise architectural documentation and guidance. This individual will work with a client's IT organization to facilitate organizational commitment for all systems and software plans, as well as evaluate and select all technologies required to complete those plans. In addition, the Security Architect provides technical leadership in a consultative capacity across the client organization, from strategic decision making down to the project planning level.

Requirements:
  • Must be versed in enterprise architectures and distributed technologies.
  • CISSP
  • Experience with the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes within the Federal Government
  • Full-cycle implementation experience including requirements, design, integration and testing.
  • Experience with n-tiered application architecture.
  • Fluency in Web service standards, technologies and tools including XML, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, ReST, BPEL and the WS-* family of web service specifications, particularly WS-Security.
  • Ability to present professionally and persuasively to C-level executives
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
